ADBWeather Plus v3.10 or later now allows users to skin the Today plugin images.
Below are the directions for
image files that skin designers can modify. The modified image files should preserve the original physical width/height and the same file name as the original file. You can then either replace the default images with your own, or you can create the subdirectory images\today\skin in your ADBWeather Plus install directory and copy your modified images to the skin directory.
Additionally, if you have a VGA
device you can create HiRes images for ADBWeather Plus to use. You will
need to add a "192" to the filename of each image file that you modify for VGA
and these image files should be exactly double the width/height of the original
file dimensions.
Example:
QVGA (LoRes)
filename = running.bmp
width
= 16
height = 40
VGA (HiRes)
filename = running192.bmp
width =
32
height = 80
Directions...
1) Simply navigate to: ADBWeatherPlus\images\today
directory on your Pocket PC
2) create a sub-directory called skin
3) copy all the *.bmp files from ADBWeatherPlus\images\today to
ADBWeatherPlus\images\today\skin
4) modify each file listed in ADBWeatherPlus\images\today\skin with your new images. Note: you
must preserve the original file width/height dimensions and the RGB(0,0,128) is
used as a transparency color.
5) Additionally, if you
create VGA images you should include the additional “192.bmp” file naming
addon and these image files should be exactly double the width/height of the
original file dimensions.
If you create a new set
of images for ADBWeather Plus and would like to share
them with other users, please let us know and we will
post a link to your skin on our website.
